Bristol-Myers Squibb, the company that makes the drug that treats ED, said on Monday that it has reached a deal to pay $1.7 billion for the company to bring erectile dysfunction drugs like Viagra and Cialis to the U. S. market.
The deal, which the company is looking to buy, will pay up to $2 billion in cash, and will allow it to begin marketing the products for men who have trouble swallowing pills.
Viagra, Cialis and other ED drugs are not approved for use in adults and children. It will be marketed as a treatment for a specific condition known as Erectile Dysfunction.
